Programming a Spectrum remote to your TV is quick and easy. To get started, you’ll need the following:
– Your Spectrum remote
– The make and model number of your TV
Step 1: Identify Your Remote Model. Take note of the make and model of your Spectrum remote. This information can usually be found on the back or bottom of the device.
Step 2: Find The Manufacturer Code For Your TV Make & Model. On the back of your remote, look for a list of manufacturer codes that correspond with different types of TVs. Locate the code for your specific type and make/model from this list.
Step 3: Program The Remote To Your TV. Turn on your TV and make sure it is set to the correct input. Hold down the “SET” button on your remote until all 4 mode buttons at the top light up. Then, enter the manufacturer code for your particular type of TV (from Step 2). If done correctly, after a few seconds one of the mode lights should blink twice.
Step 4: Test Your Setup. To ensure that everything was programmed properly, try turning your TV off and back on with your Spectrum remote. If successful, you have now successfully programmed your Spectrum remote to control your TV!
If you run into any issues programming your Spectrum remote or have any additional questions about how to program it to control other devices in addition to your TV, you can always reach out to Spectrum support for help. Happy remote-ing!
